Colin Davis and Night People is a concept band specializing in classic New Orleans soul and funk music. Formed in 2016 by drummer/producer Colin Davis, the band has maintained a steady schedule of club gigs and private events in and around their home base of New Orleans, La. The repertoire includes the genius of Allen Toussaint, Lee Dorsey, Irma Thomas, The Meters, Dr. John, Willie Tee, Earl King, Ernie K-Doe, Chocolate Milk, and many more. Night People’s guiding principle is to infuse the work of these legendary New Orleans artists with our own musical passion and style, while staying true to the original spirit and arrangement of this timeless music. Our mission is to move you–musically, emotionally, physically–to celebrate together a shared and uniquely American New Orleans musical heritage.
