Gary Allman released his CD “Second Chance” in 2018 after forming the Allman Goldflies Band which earned the LA Music Critics award for Best Southern Rock Band. The Gary Allman Band developed a southern rock/blues chemistry with a tighter, and more soulful sound than ever before. Atlanta Country Music Hall of Fame member and recording artist, Jimbo Thornton, has enjoyed a career opening for such artists as ZZ Top, Lynard Skynard, Waylon Jennings and many others, as well as playing slide guitar for Frank Zappa. Having recently relocated to Florida from Nashville, Tennessee, he is enjoying playing slide guitar for The Gary Allman Band.

Bruce Butler is an extraordinary piano player who has worked with Percy Sledge, The Southern Rock Allstars, .38 Special guitarist Jeff Carlisi, the band Skinny Molly, and sang on the Lynard Skynard Tribute Live album. Bruce and Gary have been friends for over 20 years and are happy to finally get to work together.

Bass player Mark Hughes produced the successful Louisiana rock band “4 Mob Jam” which released its CD “Arrival” in 2014. In 2016, after having enjoyed radio play and opening for various national acts, Mark went on to perform on Bourbon Street for 2 years before returning to Florida and joining The Gary Allman Band.

Steve Kleinpeter, a classically trained drummer from the age of 12, traces his influence to 1976 after hearing “Whipping Post” for the first time. Mark and Steve have been friends for friends over 25 years and enjoy keeping the groove in The Gary Allman Band.
